I cannot legally carry in my state yet because I am only 20. I have been looking into carrying for the past few months and after last night, theres no question. My friends and I at university went out around 10pm. There is a bike trail just outside of town and we thought it would be cool to walk it at night and see the stars without any light pollution. We get to the boat launch at around 1:30. We were screwing around for alittle before we actually started walking. But as planned, we hung out in the parking lot, played frisbee, listened to music and watched the stars. It was actually really relaxing after a long week of classes. Then someone asked me to turn the music off and listen, when I did we heard something from over in the water. We knew it wasn't a fish because there aren't really any fish in here (Fracking and such) I grabbed my EDC Light and went out onto the dock, my friend also came with a flashlight. We scanned the water and after a minute for so, we saw something on the water. We couldnt really tell what it was because our lights couldnt reach far enough, but we saw something about the size of a German Shepard that looked like some form of Otter. The only thing I could think of was a Fisher. So, We decided to leave. As we were leaving the parking lot, we heard more noise and saw something near the edge of the water. We decided to keep a light up front and a light behind and just stay in a group. One person called someone from town and had them meet them at the road to go get the car (we had a group of 6) He went to get the car, picked us up and that was it. We walked nearly a mile and this thing followed s along the water the entire way.Not the most exciting story I know, but being stalked by an animal with nothing but a flashlight and a pocket knife is rather unsettling. I counted myself lucky because there are far worse things in Pennsylvania then Fisher. Had it been wolves or mountain lion, we would have been screwed.TL;DR: Went for a walk late at night, got stalked by what I think was a fisher for about a mile. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1V11bxg
