Need to spar in boxing to gain confidence?

I've tried boxing for around 4 months and I took up boxing because I wanted to gain more self-confidence as I've struggled with shyness, social anxiety, and depression. I've never dealt with any serious physical altercations or dangerous situations, but I was hoping boxing would help me in terms of my posture, projecting more confidence because I've been punked alot in the past in terms of people insulting me, treating me with disrespect, not taking me seriously when I play sports, bigger guys trying to bully me, etc.

Even though I've attended boxing classes around 5 times/week for the past 4 months, I don't think my confidence has improved that much. Maybe that's because I've only gotten to spar a few times. But I'm probably in better shape and have better technique than when I first started.

About how often do I need to spar in order to get the confidence I want? Or are my expectations of gaining confidence from boxing flawed and I'm better off doing something else? I've already tried BJJ and weightlifting and I didn't find those helpful either
