I am interested in moving to Utah and then maybe getting a resident CCW permit, so that I would be able to carry within 1000 feet of a school without violating federal law.I am legally in the US on a non-immigrant visa, i.e. not on a green card. The Utah legislation on this says that only aliens in the US illegally are not eligible, so I should be good. However, the application for the permit is essentially asking for citizenship or a green card. Since I don't have a either, I would not be able to complete the applicate, despite being eligible under the law.
