How hard to grip a pistol?

My MantisX complains when I grip the pistol too tight, and it's probably detecting the wobble due to the muscle tremor.However, if I recall correctly, Jerry Miculek advocates gripping a pistol super super hard to minimize the muzzle flip.What are your thoughts on this?I feel like a bit of wobbling is OK, given that my training is primarily focused on becoming as proficient as possible at using my pistol in a defensive encounter. And these mostly occur at distances of less than 10 feet, if I recall that statistic correctly.
