Last night I responded to a gun shot wound. Upon arrival I found a patient with an entry and exit wound in the thigh and an entry wound in the calf. Little to no bleeding but when we went to roll the patient over to look for more wounds, I could feel his tibia and fibula crunch and grind together. We got a BP, large bore IV and went to the trauma center. The patient claimed he was shot by an unknown assailant... PD determined that was a lie and he had shot himself while putting his handgun in his pocket. There were two bullet holes in his pocket to prove it...Moral of the story: Don't be an idiot or I have to get off my recliner at the station, miss the World Series and patch up your dumbass. Kydex and common sense are cheaper than hospital bills and charges.Stay safe. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3CoN0uK
