Question on "displaying" as a means of de-escalation/self defense

I am in the midst of getting a ccw in California and in my limited research, this appears to differ state by state, though I am not sure.I am curious if lifting your garment and showing your armed is considered okay as a means of de-escalation and not considered brandishing a firearm. So NOT taking it out of the holster, merely showing you are armed. I know there are loads of real world examples showcasing that this works, but the interpretation of the law can get hairy. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3wjYPPO
