Beginner question-Is it considered okay to practice your draw indoors if you live in an apartment?

I’ve been wanting to practice my draw, but I’m unsure if it is considered okay to do so indoors at my apartment complex.Obviously, I would make sure that my pistol is unloaded before even thinking about doing so.My biggest hang up is that they say you should always treat a gun if it is loaded and point in a safe direction, in which case given that I live in an apartment complex, there really isn’t a “safe” place to point it, even if I ensure that the pistol is unloaded.
