Started a CCW class and purchased my first firearm today

It’s a used Smith and Wesson M and P9 Performance Center.I want to share pics but it’s against the rules since it’s just the firearm.Will share when I have it with gear.I foolishly didn’t read up on the affect of ported barrels/slide. I then saw a good handful of redditors saying it’s bad, especially for ccw.
