Negligent discharge story/need help.

So about a month ago I decided to clean my new Glock 19 gen 3 in my bathroom. call it being a dumbass or what but I never kept one in the head so me assuming there wasn't I dropped the mag and went to release the trigger to take it apart and my ears were ringing 2 seconds later..I have learned from this and check EVERY TIME now which is what I had always done but I guess my brain turned off. about 5 minutes later I heard the cops banging on my door so I opened it with my hands out and went to come out and there was about 6 cops with ARs pointed at me (that was pretty scary lol) and one came behind me and threw me to the ground, put me in the car and I sat for about 2 hours lol. But aside from that they took my Glock, this was a month ago and I still haven't heard anything from them. I heard I could get it back after my court date, but that if they feel someone could have been injured I could never get it back? I'm just confused here on what kind of trouble I'm in.disclaimer: NO ONE WAS INJURED, the bullet lodged in the concrete in my wall and stayed there I was using hollows. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2AZgrZX
