Flying with CCW and unexpected change of destination?

This is a follow-on to the interesting post about flying with your CCW. It’s really remote likelihood, but what if your flight gets “diverted” due to weather or illness etc. to a state where you don’t have the ability to have a firearm? Has that ever happened to anyone? I’m curious what would be the best way to handle it.Related question: can you safely fly “through” airports where you don’t have the ability to have the firearm?
