Facial Recognition

SC Identogo (new “fast” 14 day electronic permit process) required me to have a photo taken “for facial recognition, but my “DL photo will be pulled from DMV for the photo on the permit.”I’m sorry, but what the fuck is that? Compromise privacy for the exercise of another liberty? SLED (CWP issuing body) has no mention of this practice anywhere. If I had done paper application, I wouldn’t have had to mail in a photo for this. Do they use my DL photo in that case? How would we have ever known that they enter you into a facial recognition database?I want to be that guy that says, “well I have no record and do everything right, so I don’t worry about it.” But that’s how right after right gets chiseled away.
