The 'Serpa' holster discussion.

Hey, friends! It's your friendly neighborhood slid3rman.I have attended a bajillion training courses and activities, both in the military and as a civilian ... often with reservists and/or veterans. The discussion about 'Serpa' holsters is that they are famous causing accidental\negligent discharges. The theory being that the requirement of pressure on the release switch transfers as pressure into the trigger guard as the draw pulls both the weapon and the hand from the holster/release.I am curious to hear your experiences and opinions here. These holsters have been issued for sidearm carry in the AF, MC, and Army. (Now mostly discontinued as I understand from my conversations). My main reason for asking is because I am considering an under the desk holster option for my spare G19 in my home office. I've never had an accidental\negligent discharge with my Serpa holsters, I was considering this one from the Glock Store.I'd appreciate your experience and input. Thanks in advance. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2HfKyfq
