My wife is not anti-gun. She believes that everyone should deserves the right to carry a gun until they do something that makes them a true danger. However, she is uncomfortable with me carrying a gum, which I have done for a little over a year now, and she refused to carry, herself. We have two children. One 10 and one 7. She takes them to school and picks them up. They, sometimes, go out and do things without me. She thinks they because she is normally surrounded by people that are supposed to be the "good guys" (police, teachers, fellow parents, etc...) that no one would EVER try to harm her or one of my kids when I'm not there. Also, she thinks that me carrying a gun (95% of the time, concealed) makes us a target in a situation of an mass shooter in WalMart or something like that if they see it.My question: how do I go about helping her understand the positives and safety reasons for carrying a gun? I've looked at several articles and none of them give a good answer for this situation. The wife is usually very anti-gun. Please, help me keep my family safe when I'm not around. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2SpuHA5
