"Well Dressed Wednesdays" (What did you wear today?) Episode 1 Pt 1

I thought it might be fun to start this. Basically a weekly "What are you wearing today? What are you concealing under it?" Like r/ccw meets fashion meets r/edc Hopefully we all get a chance to check out some different combinations of style types, weapon types, carry positions and builds, and to possibly expand our ideas. Something to break the notion that we're all stuck with mouseguns or flannel overshirts and fishing vests #NoSobchaks.Disclaimer, while interesting, novel or even potentially challenging carries are great, the goal is to post ACTUAL carry combinations, not that jokey "AR down the jeans leg vid", stuff we've actually worn. Today's wear: Gun: HK VP40Holster: Vedder LighttuckPosition: IWB 3:00Shirt: Express casual button down, "Fitted" cut (now marketed as their "slim" fit)Jeans: Lucky Brand "410 Athletic" fitBelt: 1791 Gunleather Thoughts: So this is admittedly a pretty easy one. This shirt is very CCW friendly, dark, pattern, worn untucked, etc.BUT, FWIW I bought these clothes AND this gun BEFORE I had a CCW. Neither the gun nor the shirt were bought to accommodate CCW; these are my regular clothes and an everyday and HD gun. I could go with my slim9 and it would absolutely disappear, but I picked the VP this time to show just how well a duty sized gun still hides with this combo. Two things, I do really like, as I was discussing with u/LeonardoDaTiddies in another post, because of the athletic cut of this shirt, the shoulders wear close and the waist tapers in, which gives the appearance of a fitted, slim look BUT the slight tapering also naturally comes out at the hips just enough to help hide your carry without "trying". Second, the slight curve on the side between the tail and the front naturally leads you to clear the shirt on the draw. IF you were to draw one handed strong side, you could do so extremely easily. The curve naturally finds your hand and guides it under the shirt, while the close fit in the shoulders means just by reaching back it naturally brings the shirt just an extra inch, just enough to get your draw started. Its pretty effortless. You would have to be actively trying to snag. (Will try to upload a draw gif later.) BONUS point:In a previous thread we also discussed "grocery bagging" to inconspicuously get your carry from the car to the trunk safe or wherever. As I mentioned, its a neat coincidence that the bag Vedder sends you with your holster also perfectly fits the holster with gun in it, providing a handy concealment bag for de-gunning in public. (See pics) Even with a VP40 sticking it only barely peeks out a little, and certainly not enough for anyone in a parking lot to take notice. I'll post a second WDW later on today with something a bit more "challenging", (closely fitted dress slacks, tailored shirt, fitted vest, no jacket). In the meantime, lets get more posts going? What did you wear today? via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2uWo3pt
