Responsible carry in the car

Hey CCW,I’m relatively new to concealed carry, and I’m looking for some opinions on my car setup, especially any LE or other people in the know about this.My G26.5 rides at my 4 o’clock position while I’m up and around. However, I do a fair bit of driving for work, and sometimes in less-than-reputable areas. I’ve implemented a magnet mount below my car’s steering column, and I have a simple little Velcro/canvas hide system that keeps the pistol completely hidden from any angle outside the car. It’s very quick and subtle to draw the weapon from this position, which is why I like it.I live in a state where I am not obligated to declare my ccw to law enforcement in the event of a stop. However, I fully intend to declare it if I am ever stopped while carrying. This is partly because I believe it is respectful, and also because clear communication tends to save more lives than it ends.My only concern is that having the gun in this position will be perceived as overly aggressive/irresponsible to an officer, because it is essentially a quick-draw setup. Am I right to feel slightly uncomfortable about my configuration?TL;DR: My G26 is on a magnet mount under my steering column and I like it there, but I feel like it may be perceived as aggressive by LE in a traffic stop and lead to trouble. Thanks! Any thoughts are appreciated. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2WGObk2
