Stab Proof Hoodie?

I have to move to a country where mass stabbings are frequent and my ability to defend myself is limited, as the country does not allow for certain tools such as firearms to be carried or even owned by me as a temporary resident. Being that I still would like to protect myself, I considered purchasing the stab proof vest by SWX/Wonder Hoodie as an added layer of protection. However I can't find much on it, and reviews are rather non existent. Being that it costs my butthole and a liver to own one, I'd want to make sure it works from people who own it (besides the company's demonstration videos). Has anyone had any experience with these?
