Question about CCW in Pennsylvania

Hello all, my apologies if this is a dumb question, I am prepared for the downvotes.​I reside in PA, and I am looking to get a CCW. I have owned firearms for many years but just never got around to it (tbh out of laziness). I havent carried yet but I wouldnt mind doing so in the future, and also even if I dont I just want the permit in case. I had a few questions:​1.) Will this show up on a background check? (I am soon to be a doctor and will be starting my residency soon, and I am just curios so I can be prepared to address this. I am super pro 2A and people around me get sick of hearing about it so im not afraid to tell people, I just dont want it to cause any issues with my training).​2.) Are there any real cons that you can think of from a legal perspective? Someone mentioned that if there was ever confiscation, having a CCW would mean they know you have guns and could come to you first but to be honest I dont think I could hide the fact that I own guns. There is an AK Operators Union sticker on my laptop lol. Im not worried about finger prints (never have committed a crime, and I have to submit fingerprints and drug tests pretty frequently for licensing and jobs and what not).​Thank you all for your input!
