What is the process for this? Can I just show up to a sheriff's office and get a permit same day still or has this changed significantly? I have checked and the county I'll be spending the most time in does issue out of state permits but I cannot find anywhere telling me how long I should expect to wait to get my permit. I heard a very long time ago, you could just walk in and get a permit same day so long as you have one from your home state.
