Is there any point to hollow point .32 - S&W long and H&R Magnum?

Recently acquired an LCR .327 revolver for occasional CCW. Mostly putting .32 S&W longs through it (ammo shortage / prices in .32 are pretty extreme) and love the way it shoots. Once in a while .32 hollow points become available but at a steep premium. Not that interested in using .327 Magnums as they are just nasty to shoot. When using this gun in a SD capacity, of course I'd like to have it loaded with a round that will actually expand. Yet, the ballistics on HP rounds in these calibers show that these rounds tend to NOT expand at all. For example, see ballistics tests in this great little piece: https://ift.tt/3khGG1O it seems that if you're going to CCW .32 (not .327) in a snub revolver, there is zero point to using (and paying for) hollow point rounds. Or am I missing something? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3hCr6Me
