Just looking for some clarification here.I did an online course through Twin Cities Carry for my CCW. Have completed the online course already and have scheduled in for my range test.I am looking up the requirements for MN CCW and I check the boxes on all requirements, with one particular requirement being kind of grey to me:Must provide certificate of completed authorized firearms training. Training by a certified instructor must be completed within one year of an original or renewal application. (624.714, Subd. 2a)I assume this requirement is the course I've taken and passed, yeah? It had firearm basics, how to handle a pistol, the 4 universal rules, transporting a firearm, fundamentals of shooting a handgun, stances and the likes, as well as laws, use of force, after the use of force, reciprocity, conflict avoidance, weapon retention & interacting with law enforcement while carrying. This course is accredited and has authorized instructors who've put the course together.I am not a complete rookie when it comes to shooting. I have shot before with a buddy of mine a handful of times, but by all accounts and purposes, I'm basically still pretty much green. My question is basically do I need to do a firearms safety course in connection with a CCW course, or are the safety courses included with the CCW? The course I took was pretty easy and basically brushed over firearm safety, and I'd just like to be prepared when I submit my application once I do my shooting test. Thanks via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/38TbcJm
