How would a cop typically return a firearm after being seized in a traffic stop?

I wouldnt want my hands on the firearm at any time with the cop present so would they holster it for you, or put it in your car for you to holster yourself later or what? This is mostly asking for a case where you’re complying but they seized it anyways for them to feel safer. I live in a state where you’re legally required to disclose that you have a cpl and whether you’re carrying or not, so saying “just don’t tell the cop you have it” doesnt apply here. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2LIvxbw
