I have this happen all the time to me just slightly different in how it's done: the sniper approach.
- So I am walking down the street, it's snowing. All of a sudden a snowball hits me from behind. I turn around and I see nobody. Or I see a group of people who claim to have done nothing. Even if I knew there was a guy in this group who did it, they won't tell me.
- I am playing paintball. All of a sudden I get shot, I don't see anybody, who did it.
- I am at home, someone rings, I go to the door and nobody is there.
- And many other similar situations.
I am attacked in a sneaky way and I don't know who did it, and "nobody saw anything".
Especially the "nobody saw anything" makes me more angry than the attack.
Of course, in paintball it's the goal, so I know others are not mean intended. It's all in good fun. But it's the same principle.
I am aware of my surroundings mind you. But I don't have eyes in my back.
How do I handle those moments without getting paranoid?
In other words:
- How do I spot weaknesses in myself that make me an "easy target" without getting paranoid?
- How do I figure out who attacked me?
I will give attention to those posts only which answer my questions.
