Accident at the park (Emabarrasing)

So this evening my kids wanted to go to the park, we loaded up and took a short drive. We were the only ones there for a little while so I got comfortable and hopped on the swing, watching the kids play from a distance. A few minutes later a lady and her small kid came and she put him on the swing two down from me. We chatted for a little while and everything was going fine until my gun fell out of its holster. It tumbled 10-15 feet from me, my son (5) saw and ran over to pick it up. He's been told 100 times not to touch it, but he's 5 and at the mercy of his impulses. But acting on pure impulse I shouted "don't touch that!" As he started to bend down. The lady freaked out and grabbed her kid, I re-holstered my gun and apologized vehemently, trying to lighten the situation by joking "thats why grown men shouldn't play on swings i guess" and she laughed nervously and said its fine but she was obviously uncomfortable and took her kid and left.I promptly loaded my kids up an left as well, we came back home and now I'm sitting here cringing in disbelief. I hope you all can at least take some enjoyment from my discomfort, because I'm sure not.Edit: I'm getting down votes for what appears to be my choice of gun and holster. While I respect your decision to downvote, the least you could do is make suggestions for me to correct myself going forward. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2LDFirD
