I was able to do some personal testing on a block of gel we had at work and found my current cheap Remington hollowpoints worked in bare gel but failed on clothing. I'm looking for a good, modern hollowpoint in 115 grain since I've got a large stock of practice ammo in that weight. That kind of rules out 124gr HST (which I'm still considering anyway) so I'm looking for the next best thing. Bonded is not a requirement but heavy clothing expansion is, especially from the short barrel. I know gold dots in 115 have a good reputation but I dont know about short barrel performance.
