For the State of Florida, can anyone shed some light on a few scenarios and explain if it would allow the use of or brandish of a firearm for self defense. I have my CCL however I do not want to carry unless I am certain of the examples that I draw a blank on.

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Here are the scenarios that I and quite a few people I know of would not know if there is justification for discharging their firearm at a person, or brandishing it to possibly prevent an act of violence from happening. Also anything not to do that could get you into trouble after a defensive gun use?

  1. You're pumping gas and someone walks up to you and says give me your money or I will kick your ass and they start putting their hands on you. They have no weapons visible nor do they mention having them.
  2. You're in a fenced in public storage place late at night, and someone comes around the corner and starts walking up to you, and you tell them to back up as you walk backwards, they keep approaching over and over without stopping after many commands.
  3. You're opening your front door and as you go to close behind you a stranger grabs the door and opens it walking into your house.
  4. You're in your car and people block the road in front of you, they approach your car from all sides trying to get in and start pounding on the windows, while others block your exit.
  5. You're riding a motorcycle and someone starts aggressively coming into your lane or driving right up to your back bumper and it is not safe to get away by speeding, they're visibly upset with you and try break checking, essentially trying to really intimidate you with their vehicle.
  6. Someone walks up to you at a gas station while filling up and says give me the keys to your car or else, and makes it very clear they are serious.

In all scenarios the person makes it clear they are serious and not joking around. They do not have any weapons visible nor do they mention any.

Thank you guys for the advice!
