There's many ways people throw punches wrong but I don't know specifically what they are . I've heard of things like there's no power, reaching too far, no reach at all, bad timing, trying too hard, predictable, using arms to punch, breaking your knuckles, bad accuracy,etc.
I like to think an attacker who has no technique won't do as much damage especially if you know how to defend but maybe they still could hurt you. Hope this isn't too broad of a question but it probably is. Maybe you can help me figure out which type of improper punches won't be as effective.
