Sticky holsters

Ok so I have sticky holsters for two of my guns currently and love them. They make it so easy to just grab the gun and go. My question is has anyone used a sticky for a larger gun such as a g19? I have them for my lcp2 and p938 which they work awesome for I’m just curious about how they would feel with a larger gun. currently the only holster I have for the glock is my crossbreed which I do enjoy, I just love the simplicity of the sticky if I’m running to the gas station or a quick errand. Thoughts? Opinions? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2AhUBhE

Success Story (very short)

Picked up my first CCW, a Kimber Micro 9, from a Black Friday sale. I am carrying cocked and locked AIWB. It's now been a full 24 hours and I haven't blown off my private bits yet. Success. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2AnzJ6G

Help Finding Holster - Leather-look Kydex

Recently, I have seen a few holster companies that are producing kydex holsters but the print/color of the kydex has a very leather look to it (one, I believe, was advertised as the “pigskin” option).I’m hoping someone can point me to a company that makes kydex OWB holsters that have that leather appearance.Any help or recommendations are much appreciated! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2Bqm2D3

What would you do in a carjacking situation?

So I live in a city that is currently experiencing a surge of carjackings at gun point recently, regardless of neighborhood. It got me thinking as to how I would handle the situation given the way these carjackings have been happening. Here’s how it’s been happening:*generally, 2 or 3 males will ambush a driver at a stop sign or when entering/leaving their vehicle with guns drawn. They always approach from BOTH the passenger and driver side, demanding the driver get out or die. About 50% of the time, as the driver leaves the vehicle the carjackers will rob their personal effects I.e. purse, wallet, cell, phone before taking their vehicle. 25% of the time they will beat the driver as he leaves the vehicle, steal their personal effects, then take the vehicle. The other 25% of the time they just take the vehicle with no other actions. One victim so far sped away successfully, while the other 20 or so surrendered. My concerns are this: first and foremost, if they get the jump on me with guns drawn without question I will surrender my car as it’s the safest course of action. In fact, in most situation I will surrender my car. What I worry about is if they decide to beat me, there’s a good chance they will come across my concealed G19 when I’m on the ground and probably take it from me or worse feel threatened and shoot me. My other concern is when I drive, I normally holster my CCW between my seat and center dash as it provides the quickest draw action for me, but again that is a problem if I have to leave my car at gunpoint from 2 directions.I’ve been wondering what the best defense is in these situations, and what’s the best way to be prepared? Any thoughts greatly appreciated. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2Ay3Ivc

Natural Disaster & Social Unrest

I bought my first firearm a little over a year ago (M&P Shield 9mm). I was putting together a bugout bag. I [unfortunately] live in CA and a major earthquake can happen with little notice. The sky's the limit with prepping, but my thought is with a moderate 6.0 earthquake, I would most likely be camping in the parking lot if the house was unsafe to stay in.I don't lose sleep over a home invasion happening. The evidence from any major natural disaster is social etiquette breaks down very fast during any type of social unrest. Most people just try and make the best of the situation, but there are always bad apples that take advantage of the sparse law enforcement. My scenario: The pistol is in a locked pelican case with 2 magazines, 50 rounds, and a holster. This is to protect the firearm, but also if I end up in a shelter and need to secure it. My plan is to conceal it even though CA has made it impossible to get a CCW in my county. I feel when lawlessness happens it's a perfect situation to exercise your right to protect yourself & family. I know I would feel better if other neighbors took that responsibility too.Just wanted to get the community's thoughts. Thank You! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2An1pIM
