My phone has a function where if I press the power button 5 times quickly it will send an alert (SMS, photos, location) to my emergency contacts and also call the police.
It has the option to make my phone emit a loud alarm sound when this function is used.
There's several pros: they might flee, it can alert people around, and it can let me know if I press it by mistake.
But I'm afraid that if an attacker knows I am calling for help with my phone they might be panic or get angry and therefore be more likely to react violently or threaten/hurt me to make the alarm stop.
Should I enable the alarm sound?
