I have decided that it is time for me to invest in a good EDC flashlight. Most of the sources I have looked at have pointed towards Fenix for hand-held lights. I have narrowed it down to two of Fenix's models: the PD35 v2.0 and the UC35 v2.0. As far as I can tell the two lights are practically identical in terms of performance, except the UC35 can charge via microUSB. Because of this I am leaning towards the UC35. The extra ~$15 (after the 20% discount Fenix offers on their website) is more than justified considering I am essentially getting a battery charger built into the flashlight along with the convenience of microUSB charging. But before I purchased the UC35 I wanted to post in the subreddit to check if there was anything else I should be aware of, or if there may be other competing products I should be considering instead.
