If you have sweaty hands, ask for a paper towel and dry those drippy sausages off.The fingerprinting technician may not tell you to do it, but they should. Sweaty hands could cause your fingerprints to be rejected by the system. Happened to me, the machine couldn’t read a clear print on any of my fingers. The lady wanted to override the machine’s warnings and get on with her day, but I asked her to retake my prints after I dried my hands—voila, clear fingerprints.I don’t mean pat dry, either.
