Physical Fitness as a carrier of a weapon.

Hello all, On my run today I had a thought; as carriers of weapons are we obligated to keep ourselves in (well?) above average physical condition? I know the argument would be that "If I can shoot a guy why would I make physical contact with him or engage in any sort of activity that compares our foot speeds."I'm curious to hear y'alls input on the subject. Fire away.Edit: When I say obligated, I don't mean legally or some such thing. I would compare it to being responsible for the safety of a young woman you are with. Technically you don't HAVE to keep her safe but you should. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2kGW0Fx

Employers did not tell us of a threat

Yesterday we had a customer that verbally threatened our workplace. The management did not tell us at all. It got leaked out today. Nothing happened thank God. I feel like we should have been warned, we are a high customer volume business so we always have people coming and going. Any input or advise? Thank in advance via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Jipwzn

May bring a firearm during a visit to CA. Got some questions?

I may visit friends in California this summer and I want to make sure I'm staying within the law while I do so. I've casually looked over some of California's laws regarding transporting a firearm in my car before but my memory is a bit hazy and I'd like to be absolutely certain about what I need to do. My concerns are as follows:As far as I understand, I'll be in the clear if I make a stop before crossing state lines to unload my firearm and place it in a locked case. Do I need to store the magazine/ammo separately? Are there any other bits of pertinent info while driving, such as duty to inform? When I arrive at my hotel room or my friend's place am I clear to reload and keep my gun handy? I would prefer not to rely on hotel security if some crazy person is banging on my door in the middle of the night. If, God forbid, I have to defend my life, do I have a duty to retreat?I've also heard about an approved gun list. Will this potentially affect my travel plans?I'm not opposed to looking up the laws myself but I'm not sure where to start and I don't want to miss something important. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2J6zFvo

CA permit holders: what reasoning for concealed carry did you provide in your application?

I know certain counties have different approval rates too. If you don't mind listing your county and have advice on pursuing a permit in this state I'd appreciate your words. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2LPIyLV
