Is this safe--CCW backfiring on us b/c legal registry?

Hello allTLDR: I'm in favor of 2A but suspect CCW addresses have and can be leaked, brought against you somehow (in employment, social, etc) and am suspicious of writing down my address/credit card to state/city data servers. THIS IS NOT AN ANTI CCW POST but a thought-food one. Examples include "FairFax County, VA" and Westester County--------I am a law-abiding woman but feel cagey about getting my Conceal Carry. One day someone (on a federal, local, or state level) may say "ok we will publish addresses of who's got a CCW".in Virginia some journalist found who had CCWs and published addressesAnd, more plausibly, a Credit scammer found the SQL warehouse for thousands of CCW permit holders, I think in WI or Virgina, and leaked addresses online.Of course I'm being a bit cautious but believe me, data isn't secure, and municipal data storage aren't exactly 'NSA-level Bond-degree' secure, from the countless breaches and embarassing leaks we've seen over the yearsSO, I"M NOT discouraging anyone from CCW, and I am all in favor of Second Amendment endowments, BUT can any devils' advocates either assauge my fears OR come up with other concrete reasons why I should not go the CCW route?https://www.cnn.com/2012/12/25/us/new-york-gun-permit-mapThank you. if anything, maybe this'll start a conversation about citizen's security, both offline and on. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3cznyY2
