Getting a Pistol Permit In NY

Hi guys, I am a college student in Monroe County in NY - not in Rochester. I'm from Pennsylvania. I am going to turn 21 in November and I want to get a pistol permit in NY since getting my concealed carry license in PA will be easy and I would like to be able to carry in both states. Or even just having a my gun with me in NY so I can go to the range with it would be better than nothing.I am not living on campus so don't worry about guns being on school property or anything like that. I have a townhouse that I have been renting for the last year and a half.Does anyone have an idea of the current wait times for a permit to be reviewed in Monroe County? What are my chances of even getting the permit? Is having a PA DL going to make this more challenging even though I have been living in NY?Thanks in advance! South Carolina non-resident options

I have a Connecticut resident permit and a Utah permit. South Carolina doesn’t honor either. What’s my best option to be able to carry in SC as a non-resident? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2gPsnU0

G19 with milled 'windows' for CCW...

Anyone have issues with it? I've never been a big dress up the gun guy, but I'm going to get some Jagerwerks milling done. Love the look of the windows, but I will also be carrying the gun. Part of me says just stick with non-windowed...I'm torn. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2ibsvtF

M&P 2.0 seems legit!

I visited a major conference in Philly last weekend and had the chance to handle and dry fire all the versions of the M&P 2.0 at Smith and Wesson's both, and was extremely impressed with:Grip texture - similar the the feel of talon grip with the sandpaper texture, I have no doubt that this factory grip finish will allow outstanding grip and recoil management.Trigger - Everything the reviews say - medium take-up, crisp wall, nice tactile and auditory reset. And the reset feels like only about a tenth of an inch. I am sure that will make for quick follows. The 2.0 Compact 9mm feels really great and is about the exact dimensions of the Glock 19 with the same capacity. I have a G19, but may eventually have to get one of these just to be sure as to which one is better! If you are looking for a new carry or home defense weapon, the full-size, Compact, and Shield in v2.0 are definitely worth a look! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2iF6W8W
