Idaho and Kansas expand CCW rights, while Maryland regresses further into the darkness

So here's a tale of three states...Idaho and Kansas, effective today, expand the rights of concealed carriers, while Maryland anti-gunners continue their attacks on law-abiding citizens. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29yKK7x

GA resident heading to SC for first visit since reciprocity- what do I need to know?

Looked into the laws very briefly, and know there is a duty to inform and it appears that signs carry the force of law. Are there any quirks or specific laws that I need to be aware of? I appreciate any and all help/advice. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29bF1pa

What is a good .45acp for CC?

I've just submitted my application for a CCW license, and will be shopping around for the next 45 days (estimated wait time). I really like the .45 and want to know this subs thoughts/recommendations on a particular model. I know it comes down to what feels best but a little research never hurts. Thanks in advance.Edit: should state I currently have a g21 for HD via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29hA5BG

Getting over the fear of "getting in trouble"... advice?

First up, stand up citizen here. Never been legally in trouble, not even a parking or speeding ticket. 28 year old financial analyst with an MBA. Got into shooting rifles back in 2012 and went from there. I regularly go every 2 weeks or so at the local range and sometime practice unloaded at home.Picked up my CCW here in PA back in November, but haven't carried yet. Here me out - I'm stuck on getting harassed or the cops called on me.Back in 2013ish, I was pulled over coming from a photoshoot at a cemetery of some cars. I accidentally turned down a one way street, cop was right there, instant pull over. I normally have huge respect for law enforcement, but this guy was a real dick.He accused me over and over of "being on something". Said he saw my eyes being bloodshot. Keep in mind, this was near the projects, so I can understand. I was patted down and then roughed up a bit. That escalated into a K9 unit showing up with 2-3 more cop cars. I was out of the car being questioned, yelled at, sworn out, etc.In the end, I consented to him searching my car, which I knew he'd find nothing. Floor mats out, back seat taken out, everything gone through. I could only imagine what would have happened if I had a valid CWW permit and firearm in the car.The ordeal ended with a "Get the fuck out of here and if I ever catch you again, I'm taking you out for good!"How do I get over this? Every time I see a cop now, I'm on edge. Highly fearful of printing just a little bit and having someone call in "mass shooter at XXX" or something. Or even just getting pulled over and have the cop go full commando on me for no reason. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29m5vVg

AIWB holster. Convince me!

I have a Sig Sauer P250 subcompact 9mm. I want to carry it AIWB and have narrowed it down to two choices of holster to buy when I come home from this deployment: The Dara Holsters Modular Appendix Rig or a Stealthgear AIWB with an IWB mag caddy. I'm a short and semi-stocky guy. (5'5" 160) via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/297VY1E

Ok, one month until purchase and I'm still wrestling between three ccw revolvers. Weigh in and help me out!

I live in a rural area and work outside every day, so I definitely want to carry in a shoulder holster 90% of the time. I reload for a 1974 Ruger Security Six 357 (my baby!) but can't really carry that one.My main choice is between a S&W 642 and a Ruger LCR in 38+P. I think the 357 is God's gun, but I have that niche filled and don't want to blow out my ear drums if I have to use it in SD. Both would be loaded with Speer Gold Dot Short Bbl 135gr +P.The wildcard is still that dang 327 Federal Mag LCR. It just seems to make so much sense on paper. Flatter shooting, 6 rounds, and the ability to practice with .32's... Wildcard indeed. So what cha think, y'all? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29aJZST
