I've been looking into personal alarm keychains (the ones that emit a loud 120dB siren when you pull a pin) as a simple, non-lethal safety tool.
A few things I'm curious about:
Have you or someone you know ever actually triggered one in an emergency? What happened?
Do you think the sound is loud enough to deter an attacker or draw attention?
How long have you been carrying one, and does it give you genuine peace of mind or is it more of a placebo?
Would love to hear honest firsthand accounts positive or negative. Trying to figure out if this is genuinely useful or just a feel-good gadget.
