Murder recently happened in my country, man got into an altercation with a group of teenagers and when he tried to run away, they threw a projectile at him and killed him.
My questions are
1: Is it safe to assume that crimes like this are initiated by the victim? i'm not victim blaming but i've always assumed that you're safe if you don't get on the wrong side of the wrong people and know when to run, whereas my parents (and it seems MSM) believe that you just have to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and boom you have a knife in you for no reason, which is safer to assume?
2: If you assume the worst case scenario for the recent murder (murderers started the altercation) how would you get out? especially if they have a weapon they are prepared to throw, is this the situation where combat training comes in handy? note: you can get in trouble for defending yourself in my country, there was a case a while back where a guy killed a robber and got into huge trouble
