How tight should the retention on my holster be?

Just got an IWB holster and with it's retention, I have to give it a pretty firm pull to get it out. It holds the gun upside down and even if I shake it, the gun won't release. Is this too much or is this proper? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2lP1r9B
