self defence against police brutality
I dont know if this is the right sub. We are protesting in iran against a totalitarian regime. The police and other mercenary forces are violent against people, from use of real bullets in streets to forcing civilian faculties to hand in cctv footage to help capture people. Only Yesterday they killed more than 50 people in broad day light in streets. Im in search of a book or set of notes to translate to help protesters to protect themselves against threats that accur in these situations.i appreciate if you could suggest books on how to prevent Tear gas toxication, first hand aid, avoiding surveillance and other topics which might help. Thanks.

Questions to Ask
Hi, I want to enroll my 5 yr old into some sort of self defense class like BJJ. I don't know anything. What questions should I ask and what do I look for to see whether or not the school is legit? TIA

Can a 60yo man with a shorty bat defend himself?
I’ve been threatened by a seasoned 35yo fighter. He’s well built. Larger than average and looks like he’s a street fighter. I believe it’s a credible threat. If he comes for me I want to be able to beat him. I’m not a cop caller so that ain’t gonna happen. I’ve got a shorty bat or a Brooklyn whopper. The whopper is so big tho that if I got head faked and over extended I’d be fucked. And, if I connected with the whopper I’d kill him. Not my goal. I want to beat him enough he’ll leave me be. Any suggestions or advice appreciated. Ty

Pooping in public be like... (repost b/c autotool comment requirement)

Can improper technique from attacker still hurt?
There's many ways people throw punches wrong but I don't know specifically what they are . I've heard of things like there's no power, reaching too far, no reach at all, bad timing, trying too hard, predictable, using arms to punch, breaking your knuckles, bad accuracy, etc.
I like to think an attacker who has no technique won't do as much damage especially if you know how to defend but maybe they still could hurt you. Hope this isn't too broad of a question but it probably is. Maybe you can help me figure out which type of improper punches won't be as effective.
