Wisconsin CCW for Teachers

Hey all, my fiancee is a teacher in small-town WI and just applied for her WI CCW. I had a question regarding firearm storage for her, because, on one hand, state statute prohibits firearms within the 1,000 ft school zone, but on the other hand, the school is her employer, who by Wisconsin law can't prohibit her keeping a firearm secured in her car in the employer's parking lot.I would assume that the school zone law takes precedent, but it's an odd intersection to be in that's not well identified in the law.I understand that any responses are not considered legal advice, I'm just curious what the other civilian interpretations might provide. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2nxNpWH

M&P 2.0 Alien Gear Holster

So I just bought the new M&P 2.0 compact and I'm looking into getting a holster for it. I really want the Alien Gear Shapeshift system, but they don't offer it for this model just yet. However, they do offer it for the M&P 9 1.0. My question is if I bought this system, would it work for the 2.0 compact as well? The 2.0 compact has a length of 4.0" and the 1.0 has a barrel length of 4.25", so if anything it should just be a little long, right....? Any help is much appreciated guys! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2DQMDz3

Want to learn self-defense. Advice?

Just wanted some advice from the community. I am a 25 year old wuss that wants to get into shape and learn some self defense. I don't plan on fighting competitively or anything. Just tired of being sized up like a puss by alpha bros. What is the best martial art style to learn for casual self defense training? Something to learn skills to protect yourself in a street fight. Any advice is appreciated. Worth noting I would never learn a skill like this to bully or pick on people. Just want to be able to defend my kids and those close by.

Looking for information on an Oregon non-residential license

I live in Washington state and travel to Oregon often I have my CPL for Washington but as most of you know Oregon does not recognize any other states CPL I've done some reading looks like I may have to write a letter to the county sheriff in question but the information that is hard to get an exact answer on is in order to get an Oregon non-residential CPL will it require me to take any classes. If anyone out there has any good information or links to sites with some clearer info on this I would much appreciate it. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2GxI2zj
