Question on a couple guns. Glock 19 and Sig P320C
Hey guys, I am still on a quest for a new compact pistol. My LGS has a Gen 3 Glock 19 in great condition for 410$, and a Sig P320c in FDE with night Sights for 520$. I have shot the 19 a few times and really like it, but I really like the trigger on the Sig, but have only dry fired it. Wanted to know how anyone here with the Sig liked it.I also know there are a lot more options for the Glock when it comes to holster and anything after market, but the Sig is just really nice. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2bFfD9R
Advice on selling/next purchase.
Recently bought a friends Glock 22 Gen4 because he wanted something smaller both he and his wife could shoot and it was dirt cheap. However, both cost of ammo and size of the gun (I'm 5'9, 160 so it's hard to conceal well) have caused me to consider selling it. I also have a S&W SD40VE I'm wanting to get rid of. What are my odds of getting a good trade in on a G19? Any suggestions for getting a good trade/general words of advice or caution with things like this? Other than don't buy a .40, I already got that one. Thanks everyone! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2cfNUhS
State fair carry
I live in Minnesota where the sign doesn't hold the power of the law. This year the state fair is implementing pat downs, but this is all I can find about the legality of them banning guns. http://ift.tt/2bLcUMw sounds like they are a public location so they can't legally ban guns from permit carriers, any input ? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2bGfAhb
Anyone live in Philadelphia? I have some questions
This isn't your typical questions about the local laws for CCW post - I have the apps, read the local laws, etc. I have an upcoming trip there for a few days and I'm hoping to pick your brains.I'm more concerned with obtaining local people's knowledge about the area, information and insights that may not be posted on travel sites. I definitely don't plan to cross into New Jersey. Are there any areas of the city that should be avoided at day/night?Do you know of common scams that target visitors?Any other considerations or information that might be helpful? Thanks! I look forward to being a guest in your city. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2bFXjRq
Would you have drawn?
I was talking to a friend of mine outside tonight when a homeless man I've dealt with regularly approached us and mumbled something about me talking to his wife (my friend.) I asked him to repeat himself and he mumbled it again and then stepped towards me encroaching on my personal space. My friend told him to not get in our personal spaces like that and leave but as we kept walking away from him he kept following us. He then started yelling at me about having a ccw in his backpack saying he felt threatened by my hand being in my pocket and he was going to shoot me. He kept holding up his backpack but never tried to open it or reach inside. He kept repeating himself and was obviously intoxicated in addition to his usual craziness and kept approaching me and then walking away all while repeatedly telling me I was threatening him. I kept putting space between us but couldn't go inside because that would require turning my back to him to open the door. He was also between me and my car so I couldn't drive away. He finally left after saying his sister would come shoot me and his "friends" would come find my home and shoot me.The police were notified and are looking for him and I never drew because he was just using verbal threats and didn't make a motion to actually draw his alleged gun that I highly doubt he possessed. Would you have drawn? How would you have handled it?Edit: I should add the hand that was in my pocket was my weak hand, my dominant hand was at my side in case he made a motion to draw a weapon. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2bT7AHD
Traveling and CCW reciprocity
My ccw is recognized by most of the states that I frequent outside the one I live in. What do you do when you spend a week or two in a state that does not reciprocate your ccw? If I were in a worst case scenario in that state, would I still be in serious legal trouble after the fact for defending myself? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2ct7BXF
