So I’m still within the 30 days to return my Aliengear Shapeshift 4.0, and definitely considering it. I fell victim to the good marketing and somewhat new to holsters, I got got. I like the profile and comfort of the holster, but the gun does not ride snug to my body, catching my shirt behind the grip anytime I bend down. And the adjustable retention, while reassuring, is a bit clunky. I’ve noticed when sitting, retention is almost nonexistent, but while standing it pulls my pants up halfway to my neck before releasing (yes, even with a thick gun belt).Save the bashing of Aliengear, I’ve read them all from this sub, but I’m looking for a good replacement at the moment. It’s difficult to find holsters made for my gun, but vedder offers all 3 of their iwb models for what I’m looking for. For all you vedder fanboys out there, here’s a few questions:Is one belt loop enough for 4-4:30 carry? I liked the full sized leather/neoprene backing of the iwb shapeshift, but being a bit skinny, I’m looking at something a bit more low profile.Vedder and others advertise adjustable retention, how secure are the holsters actually? That was one big selling point on the Aliengear and in concept, gave me a lot of peace of mind. Execution was poor on their part, but still a big factor for me. Can’t feel like the gun is going to fall out if I shake it enough.Currently eyeballing the Rapidtuck, but if there are some other (<$100) brands y’all like definitely let me know. via /r/CCW https://www.reddit.com/r/CCW/comments/q3aah9/shapeshift_40_buyers_remorse/?utm_source=ifttt
