Traveling to Las Vegas next month and just have some questions.

As the title says, me and my wife are traveling to Vegas. I already have the airport part of it covered but just wanted some info from people who live there or traveled recently.Is there any place we really need to avoid to avoid bad situations? Are there any hotels/casinos that specifically ban ccw by use of metal detectors or such? (Specifically going to a show at the Rio.) Signs carry no weight of law? Taxis and Ubers pretty trustworthy? And anything else you guys/gals may think we need to know about before we travel there.Then, any other sites or things we need to see while we are there?
