What would you do if you had a person threatening to assault you ?

So for context i walk a lot at night and i have a lot of buddies who i hangout with and one of them told me that someone doesn’t like me and has said he plans to “ beat him when i see him “ to my buddie, i already have a FID card and i conceal carry a blade what would you do in this situation ? (for more context i live in mass which is a strict state on self defense)
